elba road had a block party and of course it was amazing

It’s “Block Party Year” in Hollin Hills, and neighbors all over this great community have been hosting barbecues and potlucks to celebrate the 75th Anniversary. It’s been great fun to hang out, munch on potato chips and hot dogs, and make new friends.

But the residents of Elba Road, known for being fabulous in every way, pulled out all the stops for their block party on June 1, closing off Nemeth Court and partying into the evening with a live band, fantastic food, actual tablecloths (!), actual candles (!!) and even an all-white-ish dress code. We are in awe.

Many thanks (and congrats!) to organizers Sally Chadbourn, Mohra Gavankar, and Jaclyn and Sean Vann for showing us how it’s done — and to Mohra and Rosie Carmichael for providing these great shots!

Keep an eye out for more announcements of block parties — and if you’d like to host one, drop a line to Tania Ryan at the CAHH 75th Anniversary Committee.
