You can enter Hollin Hills at half a dozen different points, but the main entrance is at 1223 Fort Hunt Rd. (VA 629) at the intersection of Paul Spring Road.

From Old Town Alexandria, take U.S. 1 south to Fort Hunt Road. Follow Fort Hunt Road for 2 miles, then turn right onto Paul Spring Road at the green-and-white Hollin Hills sign.
