the winter-spring potluck 2022

Just about everything is better in the Springtime … so why not the annual Winter Potluck? That may be the lesson of this year’s get-together, which is usually held in February but was moved this year to April 24 due to (you guessed it) Covid. But that turned out to be the best potluck idea anybody has had in some time, as about a hundred Hollin Hillers turned out in perfect, 80-degree weather to catch up, drink wine, peer at each others’ name tags, eat cookies, make new friends, discuss important events of the day, and generally enjoy the good life down at the Pool Pavilion.

Many thanks to Roxy Hoveyda and Matt Kies, the new co-chairs of the Civic Association Social Committee, for putting this happy event together, to Membership chairs Tom and Rebecca Ryburn for manning the check-in table, and to the many others – too numerous to mention! – who pitched in to make the day such a success. Special thanks to Tom Voskuil and Lynn Umemoto for donating 20 quarts of margaritas from their restaurant Taqueria Picoso! Enjoy these great shots of the afternoon from Gail Kropf:
