the 2021 hollin hills house+garden tour

After eighteen months of delays due to the Covid pandemic, the 2021 Hollin Hills House + Garden Tour finally took place on September 25 — and turned out to be one of the best tours the community has ever seen. With fourteen houses open to the public (featuring the spectacular, newly-renovated Alcoa House) and perfect fall weather, the tour drew over 1,500 visitors and raised some $130,000 for the Civic Association, which will go towards park maintenance and other community projects. Kudos to everyone who made it such a huge success, from the tireless H+GT team (led by Heather Shuster), to the generous homeowners, the 125 volunteers and the many sponsors who all contributed to the event!

The Tour, which also included a vintage car show, an exhibit of contemporary furniture, a morning yoga session, and a lively party at the end, was also notable for showcasing the rich artistic talent in Hollin Hills. Thanks to official tour photographer Tod Connell, who covered the event, and to Harris Lokmanhakim, Pat McCallum, Jyothi Sunkari, Hye Jin Jang, Gail Kropf and Larry Porter for sending in their great shots!
