the 2020 graduates parade

Graduations are meant to be celebrations — and the bigger, the better. But with the coronavirus putting the kibosh on big gatherings, many of 2020’s graduates spent the big day alone at home, clutching their virtual diplomas.

Not in Hollin Hills, though! On June 6, twenty-five new grads were honored with a five-mile parade through the neighborhood, complete with balloons, convertibles, lots of honking, even a police escort. It was a beautiful morning, and Hollin Hillers turned out all along the route to cheer the grads – a huge outpouring of community pride. Congrats to our new graduates, and a big thank you to organizer Christine Kelly, police escort Gordon McCallum and all the parents and friends who made the day a success!
